Description
The PAI EM82950 is a remanufactured turbocharger for Mack E6 diesel engines equipped with the Schwitzer 4LE-family turbo. It replaces Mack 25104850, the Mack 631GC-series service numbers, and Schwitzer/BorgWarner 185605 (service turbo) / 185308. This is the remanufactured exchange twin of the Genuine PAI ETC-8295 new turbocharger — a lower-cost way to restore boost pressure, throttle response, and exhaust temperature control on E6-powered Mack trucks. Each unit ships with drain plug and mounting gaskets/seals and is backed by a 1-year warranty.
Symptoms of a Failing Turbocharger
- Low boost pressure, sluggish acceleration, and lack of power under load
- Blue exhaust smoke and rising oil consumption (worn seals or bearings)
- Whining, grinding, or scraping noise from the turbo
- Excessive black smoke from overfueling relative to airflow
