Description

Premium aftermarket 3/8 inch rubber air brake hose from Tramec Sloan, supplied as a full 250-foot roll. EPDM tube and cover over polyester braid, built to SAE J1402 Type A and DOT FMVSS 106 for tractor and trailer air brake service. Buying the full roll is the lowest cost per foot for shops fabricating their own brake lines.

Signs You Need New Air Brake Hose

  • Cracks, checking or weathering visible in the cover
  • Soft spots, bulges or blistering along the hose
  • Audible air leak at a fitting or through the hose wall
  • Slow brake response or a spongy pedal from a hose ballooning under pressure
  • Chafe-through where the hose has rubbed a frame rail or crossmember
  • Oil or fuel contamination softening the cover
  • Hose flagged at a DOT inspection – any damage exposing the reinforcement is an out-of-service item
