This is a MECHANICAL gauge — it reads pressure through a line plumbed directly from the engine and does not use an electric sending unit. If your dash uses a sender and wiring rather than a pressure line, this is not the correct gauge. The gauge is supplied without tubing; verify your existing line and fittings before ordering. Before replacing a gauge that reads low, confirm actual oil pressure with a known-good mechanical test gauge — a real low pressure condition and a failed gauge look identical from the driver seat.
