Description
1982 – 1992 QA1 Camaro Level 2 Full Drag RacingSuspension Kit
The Level 2 Drag Racing Kit is ideal for 1982-1992 Camaro and Firebird owners seeking serious dragstrip performance without back-halving their car. It stiffens the chassis, reduces weight with lightweight components, and offers full suspension adjustability for optimal traction.
Eliminate Weight
QA1s tubular K-member dramatically improves engine bay access while shedding a substantial 30 pounds compared to the stock crossmember. Engine swaps become effortless with the QA1 K-member, and engine mounts are available for big block, small block, LS, and LT engines. The included tubular front lower control arm, engineered specifically for drag racing, eliminates the spring bucket, reducing weight, optimizing horsepower-to-weight ratio, and enhancing launch performance.
Performance Shock Valving
Take complete control over the compression and rebound settings on your QA1 front struts and rear shocks, to easily and precisely dial-in how hard your car hits the tire and transfers weight for better traction and quicker ETs.
Adjust Wheelbase & Pinion Angle
It’s typical to use larger diameter wheels and tires for better traction in drag racing. Adjustable trailing arms allow precise positioning of the axle centers to align them in the wheel wells for proper clearance and appearance. QA1 trailing arms are much stiffer than factory parts, reducing deflection and energy loss in your suspension
Eliminate Chassis Twist
The QA1 tubular rear sway bar will keep the rear of the car square to the axle and greatly improve launch characteristics. QA1 subframe connectors significantly enhance the stiffness of the 3rd Gen F-body’s unibody frame to prevent flexing and twisting during acceleration.
Add Accessories
In addition below you can find QA1 accessories that you can add to your cart like engine mounts, tunnel mounted torque arm, transmission crossmember, and a driveshaft safety loop.
Note: Trailing arm brackets require some welding.
