1975 – 1981 Camaro TH-400 and 200R4 Overdrive G-Force Transmission Crossmember
New super heavy duty crossmember for your factory TH-400 or 200R4 overdrive transmission. Works great for all TH-400 and 200R4 transmissions. Finished in a durable Black Powder Coat. Includes new high-strength, Grade 8 mounting hardware. The best quality O/D crossmember we’ve found available. Transmission Mount is available separately, and we recommend a Polyurethane Transmission Mount, such as our Polyurethane part TRA-724.
TRA-815 installation notes:
This crossmember is installed with the G Force label facing the rear of the vehicle. A second determining feature is crossmember center tube has a 1/2″ drain slot located on the bottom and on the passenger side next to the hump weldment.
The crossmember is installed so that the exhaust clearance humps are closed on the top and open on the bottom.
To utilize the provided 7/16 hardware it is necessary to enlarge the holes in the frame rails. If the installer chooses to utilize the stock size 3/8 hardware, it is strongly recommended that the installer obtains Grade 8 fasteners and washers to compensate.
Fits all 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, and 81 models with a TH-400 or 200R4 transmissions.
